Even social influencers like Kim Kardashian and Debra Messing is part of the trend—most claiming the life-changing effect of drinking a glass of celery juice every morning on an empty stomach.

So what’s the deal? The wonders—that the people who have tried it are claiming—sounds too good to be true! Is celery juice really the one-size-fits-all solution? Let’s take a look at the benefits of celery juice as proven by science.

In this article, we are going to list down the benefits of drinking celery juice down below, and then later on, we are also going to share with you our favorite recipe. Sounds fair enough? Then let’s get started.

# 1 It helps with psoriasis.

Let’s begin with the claim that brought celery juice under Kim Kardashian’s radar. That celery juice can help with psoriasis. So…does it? Well, according to a review published on the Journal of Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, the antibacterial effects of celery can help with psoriasis.

However, during our research, we have also stumbled upon other benefits to be gained by drinking celery juice. For instance, going back to the review published by the Journal of Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine we have mentioned a while ago, we have uncovered more benefits that we’re also going to share with you today.

# 6 It’s good for the urinary tract.

So we have discussed above that celery juice is great for digestion, but what about for the flip side of that coin? Our urinary tract?

Fortunately for us, it can do wonders for our urinary tract as well, even go as much as deal with the various bacteria that cause urinary tract infection. In one study published by the Journal of Pharmaceutical Science, celery even proved to be a better cure than other medicinal herbs such as thyme and chamomile.

It is important to note, though, that celery didn’t help increase insulin production; but rather, it worked by improving the glucose absorption in the intestines.

Just use two bunches of celery and add a few slices of apple. The apple can add some flavor to the otherwise, uhhh…weird taste of the celery. Do the same for your apple slices too.
